Scholarships

In partnership with The United Negro College Fund, The Ryan Howard Family Foundation will continue to award college scholarships for under privileged students in the Philadelphia, St. Louis, and Tampa areas. Scholarship applications will be accepted until January 12, 2012 for the 2012 - 13 school year.

Program Overview

The Ryan Howard Family Foundation Scholarship Program provides financial assistance for promising young students pursuing a higher education. This year, the Scholarship award will provide approximately 20 students from the Philadelphia Metropolitan area, 10 students from the St. Louis Metropolitan area, and 10 students from the Tampa Bay Metropolitan area with $1,000 each, to assist with pending financial needs. This Scholarship funding is for entering college freshmen who are attending a 4 year accredited institution.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates for the RHFF Scholarship must meet the following criteria:

1. Student must be a current graduating High School Senior from the Greater Philadelphia, St. Louis, or Tampa Bay Metropolitan Area
2. The G.P.A requirement is 2.5 or higher (on a 4 point academic rating scale)
3. Student must be accepted by and attend any certified four year College or University
4. Student must demonstrate a Financial Need
5. Community service is not a requirement for eligibility, however, greater consideration is shown for applicants who demonstrate active service within their community.
